NEW Beretta A400 XCEL Sporting | Gould Brothers

In early 2022, Beretta announced an updated version of the A400 XCEL Sporting. Steve did a full review on the Target Focused Life channel but we wanted to put it to the test Gould Brothers to see what this A400 Excel is made of.

WHAT WE LIKED

Steve: 

• Light recoil that comes straight back. 
• Light trigger around 5lbs

Aaron:

• Palm swell
• Trigger
• Light Recoil

WHAT WE DIDN'T LOVE

Steve: 

• Have to push a button on the bottom side of the receiver to lock the bolt back.

Aaron:

• The length of pull was too long out of the box, the fit wasn't ideal.

FINAL THOUGHTS

This is a very nice sporting gun, but if 14 1/2 length of pull is too long, you may want to consider a different option. This gun is smooth swinging and has very light felt recoil. The finished is beautiful but the blue bolt isn't for everyone. If you want a nice shooting semi-auto for sporting clays, the A400 Excel Sporting is certainly worth a look.
